Jakob Nielsen’s premise is that most Web searchers know what they want and get in and get out. I would venture to disagree with the getting in and getting out bit. Sure, people know what they want, but as far as getting there quickly? No way. That’s not 99% of the people getting online. Until I stop getting requests like this: “Help me find name.com”, I’ll take this with a large dose of salt. Analysts like Nielsen are out of touch with what the average Web user is really doing.
